Stephen Mosley, Member of Parliament for The City of Chester, is urging local businesses to come forward and apply for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, one of the most prestigious awards for UK businesses.
Stephen said, ‘This is a great opportunity for businesses in our area to gain an internationally recognised award and to raise their profile. I would encourage local companies and businesses, no matter what their size, to examine the requirements of the award and, if possible, to apply. I look forward to hopefully hearing of the success of our businesses here in Chester.’
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise offer a number of awards, with categories including International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. In 2012 86% of the winning businesses were Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). The closing date for entries for the 2013 Awards is 28 September 2012.
