Stephen Mosley MP told over 130 residents at a village meeting in Saughall how proud he was at the campaign they were running to protect the local green belt.
Local Council bosses want to build a traveller site on green belt at Oakwood Farm in Saughall. Last week residents turned out in force to object to the proposals but were ignored by the Council’s Executive.
Stephen told the meeting that he had watched the webcast of the Executive Meeting, “Speaker after speaker destroyed the Council’s argument for bulldozing the green belt and it is clear there is no need for this development and no need to break the green belt. There is clearly no special circumstances. The residents have right on their side on this issue and I am proud to stand with them.”
